Reported fish income and value examples
| Fish or variant | Reported figure | Context |
|---|---|---|
| Puffer fish | 35 Cash/sec | Rare catch |
| Crab · Epic | 200 Cash/sec | Separate Epic observation |
| Crab · Shiny | 21 Cash/sec | Shiny variant observation |
| Lobster | 1,000 Cash/sec | Another player’s post-rebirth dock |
| Lobster trap | 350 Cash/sec | Early-game placement label |
| Shiny tadpole | 4.5 Cash/sec | Shiny catch |
| Orca | 3,750 Cash/sec | Reported catch |
| Beluga | 6,350 base value | Mythic; not labeled Cash/sec |
| Monkfish | 20,000 Cash/sec | Late-session observation |
The two Crab rows should not be merged into one species rate, and the two Lobster labels should not be assumed to describe identical items. Beluga’s reported base value is a different measurement from per-second income.
Which fish should go on a stand?
- Read the placed fish’s current Cash/sec.
- Inspect the new catch’s rarity, variant and displayed income.
- Check whether either fish is needed for your next rebirth.
- Replace a weaker earner only after protecting required catches.
- Check the new stand output before selling the old fish.
The official description places collection before stand placement. An unplaced catch should not be counted as stand income. For a hypothetical comparison, replacing a 20 Cash/sec placement with a 35 Cash/sec placement adds 15 Cash/sec under unchanged conditions; this example is arithmetic, not a measured outcome.
Rarity, mutations and fish value
Read rarity and variant labels separately. A shiny or otherwise mutated catch can have a different displayed value from another fish of the same species. Compare individual item panels rather than copying a species value from someone else’s progressed dock.
Protect a required species even if another catch earns more. The rebirth guide explains why a progression requirement can take priority over a small immediate income increase.
Before selling or enabling a rarity filter
Decide which fish have jobs: current stand earner, next rebirth requirement, collection target, or mutation candidate. Sale candidates are the remaining extras. Inspect each high-tier sale preview to see whether it pays Cash or Gold.
Start any automatic sale setting conservatively and check what it actually removes. Protect the rarity containing a required fish before leaving the game unattended. A convenient filter is not a reason to lose the catch that unlocks your next reset.
Fish FAQ
Is Shiny Crab always worth 21 per second?
No. That figure belongs to one reported September observation. Compare your own catch’s displayed income and variant.
Does Beluga earn 6,350 Cash per second?
The source labels 6,350 as a base value, not Cash/sec. This page keeps the units distinct.
Should I sell every Mythic?
Keep a fish with a useful stand, rebirth or mutation role. Inspect the sale preview only for fish you can spare.
A public gameplay reference
A useful comparison appears in the linked narration at 8:14: a Sawfish receives a Galaxy mutation and is described as earning 31,000 per second. Treat that as a variant-specific session report, not the base income of every Sawfish.
This reference was checked through automatic captions. It is narration evidence, not an independent inspection of every on-screen label.
